The James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality and safety of care provided to patients. The Student Intern will provide services necessary to department operations so that optimal quality and safety can be achieved.

The Student Intern will provide data collection/analysis and project support for the James Cancer Hospital within the Analytics Center of Excellence Department. The Student Intern will work part time to provide clerical, project, and data management support within the James Cancer Program Analytics (ACE) Department. Departmental projects may include quality, process improvement, patient satisfaction, utilization management, data management amp; analysis support. Responsibilities include development of data collection tools and survey instruments, database entry, research and benchmarking, use of statistical tools to analyze hospital and comparative databases, preparation of reports and presentations, project design and management, and general clerical tasks. This position will have the opportunity to think creatively in regards to data visualization and dashboard builds to support The James Cancer Hospital mission and vision. Detailed work is required and the student intern will be responsible for handling confidential information.

Minimum qualifications:

For Hire: Undergraduate or current graduate student; experience with spreadsheets and databases

On Going: Current student status

Requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment. Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
