Labor and Employee Relations Consultant HR Labor Employee Relations Full Time 83348BR Job Summary Please note: This is a 1-year contract that offers full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and pension plans.
The Labor and Employee Representative 4 provides labor and employee relations guidance to all levels within the organization, utilizing specialized labor and employee relations expertise within area of responsibility to resolve highly complex issues in creative and effective ways. Internal and external contacts often pertain to significant labor and employee relations programs and objectives. Normally receives little direction on assignments. Serves in a lead capacity, providing guidance to other professionals throughout the organization. The individual has independent responsibility for providing advice and consultation to managers on labor and employee relations matters and assessing risk related to those issues. The individual also leads local negotiations and represents UCSF's interests at system-wide level negotiations; conducts training; investigates and responds to grievances; promotes proactive management practices; and administers and intererprets collective bargaining agreements and University policies. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
