Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or related Master's degree and 2 years of related experience.

Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions
License/Certification Required
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer a masters degree in accounting or business management, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting/business management.

Prefer an applicant with extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in creating Excel spreadsheets, budgets, forecasts, policies and procedures, and internal controls.

Prefer an applicant with demonstrated experience using banner finance, Yomart, and Webfocus.

Prefer an applicant with demonstrated experience in completing and/or reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.

Prefer an applicant with demonstrated experience supervising and training accounting professionals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General
This position requires advanced competencies in planning, organizing, directing, budgeting, forecasting, training, a comprehensive knowledge of accounting, and an understanding of Dining business practices.

This position requires an ability to work collaboratively across campus services and the University to enhance a wide variety of dining programs and services.

This position requires advanced knowledge of internal control policies and procedures and an ability to make continuous improvements and recommendations to enhance these controls.

This position independently supervises two accounting professionals in Campus Dining and would be responsible for training/cross-training, identifying growth opportunities, and performance-management of these employees.

This position will be responsible for recommending and implementing long-range growth-projections and must have an ability to anticipate problems and develop resolution strategies.

This position must also have Ability to develop written documents and/or reports on complex matters that can be understood by both internal and external audiences, provide documentation of conclusions and recommendations that are fully supported and based on a broad knowledge of strategic goals, provide documentation and reports that have an impact on policy and/or operations, and communicate information involving complex matters (both internal and external) to the department or organization.

Financial Management:
This position is accountable for budgeting, forecasting, and the financial accounting of all revenues and expenses for the Campus Dining Department.

This position requires an ability to compile and use data analytics and technology to make recommendations to unit managers and Directors that enhance the revenue generation capacity of various department units.

This position reviews/prepares: journal entries, reconciliations, budgets, forecasts, financial activity analysis, monthly financial statements, variance analysis, employee time sheets, fund authority forms, and budget revisions.

Major Facility Maintenance and Capital Improvements:
This position provides recommendations to department leadership regarding the capital improvements budget and forecasting. Additionally this position will assist in forecasting maintenance costs on existing assets and make recommendations to retire/replace assets.
