POSITION SUMMARY:

Sugarbush Resort is seeking a Banquets & Events Coordinator to join our team! The Banquets and Events Coordinator oversees, organizes, and coordinates all Food and Beverage requirements for group sales events at Sugarbush Resort. This role also assists in high-profile public events such as the Sugarbash, Opening Day at ME, Wall of Fame, Pond Skimming, IKON Spring Concert, and others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for supervising and coordinating the delivery of all Food and Beverage operations for meetings, private events, weddings, and all other events at the resort.
  • Managing and organizing Banquet Event Order (BEO) book by being the direct liaison between F&B and Sales.
  • Work directly with Sales and Conference Services teams to ensure a seamless transition between planning and execution of events.
  • Overseeing all set-up details (e.g., table arrangements, decorations, AV requirements) for all group events and weddings.
  • Provide detailed BEOs to both FOH and BOH managers for all events with a high emphasis on communication.
  • Responsible for knowing the timeline and schedule of activities, and keeping Banquet Captain, Outlet FOH/BOH Managers, Director of F&B, and VP of F&B aware of any changes to BEOs as they are made.
  • Work with conference planning team on any special requests for events and ensure proper and timely ordering and delivery of the special requests.
  • Responsible for maintaining, and ordering as needed, all banquet wares. Including, but not limited to, chafing dishes, silverware, plates, glassware.
  • Responsible for all charges being posted correctly for the events and other administrative tasks related to the billing of all food and beverage.
  • Review and implement annual menu updates with the Food & Beverage team and coordinate any changes with marketing and sales as needed.
  • Conduct annual industry and competitive price analysis for banquet food, beverage, gratuities, room rentals, and AV charges.
  • Work with Mountain Operations and Facilities teams to make sure they are in line with the needs of the events.
  • Oversee event detailing and execution, transferring responsibilities to the Banquet Captain and/or Outlet Manager as needed.
  • Being present at all events to help assist when needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality, food & beverage, catering, and/or conference services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and Excel
  • Strong communication skills, problem resolution, product knowledge, inter-departmental and client relationships
