Summary: Responsible for providing assistance to clinicians for performing routine exercises or follow-up of functional activities (direct patient care) under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or therapy assistant as well as maintaining departmental equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition.

Essential Functions:
-Prepares patients for treatment by therapist.
-Assists therapists during therapy, as needed.
-Attends and actively participates in team meetings.
-Transfers and transports patients in a safe and timely manner.
-Maintains equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition.
-Serves as Clinical Chaperone to Sensitive Exams, per policy, as needed.
-Supports clerical front desk functions as needed.
-Completes departmental tasks as assigned.

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
Yes

Experience:
Experience working as a Rehab Aide 0-1 year preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

- Excellent attention to detail. Ability to multi-task as needed.

- Good bedside manner.
- Good physical strength and stamina for active role in busy clinical environment.

- This is a good position for candidates wishing to gain hospital experience for application to MD/PA/RN degree programs.
