Respiratory Clinical Coordinator

Supervises, coordinates and ensures all patient care activities in collaboration with unit managers, ED Medical Director, ICU and hospitalists regarding respiratory care.

Performs and evaluates arterial puncture and analysis.
• Performs patient assessment and recommends appropriate interventions.
• Performs proper documentation to include but not limited to acuity, charges, productivity, patient education etc.
• Performs appropriate routine oxygen and therapeutic and diagnostic interventions.
• Performs appropriate invasive and non-invasive ventilation interventions.
• Performs appropriately in all code and patient crisis interventions.
• Performs appropriately in all pediatric and neonatal interventions.
• Maintains conservative use of all organizational resources.
• Coordinates staff clinical training needs, conducts needs assessment to define training needs, develops educational materials, conducts training sessions, and evaluates the effectiveness of the training in support of Respiratory Care objectives.
• Assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs to meet specialized needs. Acquires educational programs that are cost effective for continuing education needs and coordinates affiliate school programs.

• Graduate of an AMA approved training program in Respiratory Therapy Required.
• 5 years Critical Care experience.
• State license / New Jersey Required.
• Registration by the NBRC Required.
• CPR Certification Required.
