Summary:

Customer Service Associate IV - SBO role is the fourth level of a four level career path and acts as subject matter expert within team, works autonomously on special projects, handles escalated and priority issues including taking or making calls, performing necessary research to identify billing issues, collaborating with other revenue cycle teams to arrive at the appropriate resolution, and communicating with SBO Manager or Director as needed. May act as Team Lead or Peer Trainer.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or higher (must be completed within one (1) year of start date)
  3. For SBO Trainers only, must achieve MH RCM STEP Credentialed Trainer designation within three (3) months of start date.
  4. Experience: Three years of experience a related healthcare field or in a call center required. Prior leadership and/or training preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Customer Service Associate III - SBO role.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  6. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of medical billing terminology, CPT, HCPCS, ICD
