The City of Takoma Park is seeking enthusiastic staff members to work for the Recreation Department's teen summer camp at the Takoma Park Community Center (7500 Maple Ave). There are 2 positions available. Incumbents will assist with planning, organizing and leading a variety of program activities including crafts, sports and more throughout the summer for teens, grades 6-12. The typical work hours vary and shifts will be from Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., from June 30 - Jul 25. Incumbents must attend pre-service training in mid-June. Incumbents have the potential to continue employment for the 2025-2026 MCPS school year. Typical Duties include:

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $18.22 and $19.34 per hour, and will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This position is not subject to membership in the AFSCME union. A first review of resumes is expected to begin on March 1, and the positions will remain open until filled.
