The Recruitment and Admissions, MBA and Specialty Masters Programs unit consists of professional staff who market to, recruit, admit, and yield students into our various MBA and Specialty Masters programs. There are three MBA Programs: Full-Time MBA (program designed for early to mid-level analysts, consultants, managers, etc.), Fully Employed MBA (program for mid-level managers, team leaders, analysts, etc. delivered on nights and weekends with a hybrid option) and Executives MBA (program delivered over weekends for managers, directors and executives with at least 8 years of professional experience including 5 years of managerial experience). There are 4 Specialty Masters Programs: Master of Professional Accountancy, Master of Finance, Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Master of Science in Business Analytics for early career professionals who are seeking technical and practical training for launching their careers. We also partner with the School of Biotechnology on interviewing and admitting Master of Science in Biotechnology Management students. Enrollment numbers and the high quality of the student body are critical to the success of the Merage School of Business.


Your Role on the Team

The Recruitment & Admissions Coordinator, Masters Programs is an integral member of the team charged with recruitment, admission, and yield activities for the Full-Time MBA, Flex MBA, Executive MBA, and Master in Management programs. Under the supervision of the Sr. Recruitment and Admissions Associate and accountable to the MBA and MiM Programs Director of R & A, the R & A Coordinator is responsible for interacting with prospective students, managing application files and processing, and supporting recruitment initiatives for the Full-Time MBA, Flex MBA, Executive MBA, and Master in Management programs. Additional duties include hiring and supervising student assistants; general administrative support, and special projects as assigned. Position requires the interpretation and implementation of University and Department admissions policies. Knowledge of UC and UCI admissions policies and procedures preferred.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $28.49- $29.11 (Hourly).

Required:

  • Knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population.
  • Working knowledge of academic programs, including curricula, admissions requirements, and financial aid programs at UC.
  • Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with schools, universities, community organizations and other institutions.
  • Working knowledge of admissions requirements for campus / school / college.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience of experience making public presentations, and experience in marketing, advertising, communications, sales, and/or recruitment in a graduate or undergraduate academic or professional setting.
  • Strong organization skills and project management skills.

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of UC, and the ability to interpret policies and procedures to prospective applicants and the public.
  • Previous interviewing experience preferred.

Special Conditions:

  • Requires ability to work weekends and evenings as necessary; requires periodic regional and national travel.
  • Hybrid work environment: 2-3 days work from home and 2-3 days work on campus or other university setting and various external venues.
