Senior Accountant Irving, TX - Hybrid 4 days a week onsite $80k-$100k (depending on experience) Overview: One of Vaco's clients is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their corporate accounting team. This is a full-cycle accounting role where you'll support the close process, prepare financials, manage reconciliations, assist with accruals and payroll accounting, and partner with the technical accounting team. You'll also help document and improve accounting processes and contribute to ad-hoc projects. Responsibilities: Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements. Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and other balance sheet accounts. Handle accruals and assist with payroll accounting to ensure accuracy. Document current accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Work with technical accounting on complex transactions and ensure compliance with GAAP. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit requests. Lead or assist in ad-hoc projects, particularly related to OneStream or other system integrations. Use ERP systems to manage accounting data and improve operational efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4-6 years of accounting experience in a mid-to-large-sized company ($500M+). Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes. Experience with major ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle). Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with reconciliations, accruals, and payroll accounting. Prior experience with process documentation and improvements. Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.
