Description Job title Life Skills Professional Reports to Site Supervisor Position Summary The Life Skills Professional (LSP) is responsible for client support through direct interaction throughout the shift; collaboratively and actively assisting and supporting the participants of the program in the development of Life/Recovery Support/Coping/Daily living skills. You will be responsible for facilitating and documenting psychotherapy groups, implementing the activities on the monthly calendar; promoting and enhancing the informed culture of the program and the establishment and attainment of goals identified in the individual Recovery Support Plan (RSP). The LSP for this specific role will work the overnight shift: Sunday through Thursday, from 11pm-7am. Essential Duties and Function
Qualifications
Program Summary New Foundations, within Montgomery County Residentials, is comprised of group homes for adults with mental illness. The program is located in the community and provides supervision, training, and guidance in daily living skills. Programming and service delivery is guided by the principles of recovery to assist individuals to achieve life goals. The Young Adult Learning Environment (YALE) provides additional educational, vocational, and social supports to better meet the needs of younger individuals 18 to 22 years old. Working conditions While performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently required to stand, walk, lift, use hand to find, handle feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, listen, taste, and smell. The job also requires employees to lift and/or move objects up to 50lbs. The individual must be able to manager stairs on a frequent basis. Requirements Physical requirements Lifting Requirements
