Camp America - Operations Assistant

Temporary Position

Camp America, a division of AIFS, has been placing international students at summer camps throughout the United States for over 50 years. Camp America is one of the leading providers of international camp staff, working with hundreds of camps across the US. We pride ourselves on providing a full-service experience to both our camp directors and international participants.

Position Summary: Camp America has a great opportunity for two individuals to join our operations team from February to August helping facilitate the logistics for international staff travels. The Operations Assistant is a hybrid temporary role that is responsible for helping get participants to the United States smoothly and safely, working closely with our team to support Camp Directors and international participants throughout the summer.

Position Type: Temporary (February to mid-to-end of August)

Salary: $20/hr

Work Schedule:



  • Tuesday and Wednesday: In-office in Stamford, CT
  • Monday, Thursday, Friday: Remote
  • Ability to work 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
  • Occasional overtime on evenings and one day per weekend in June and July.



Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: researching, maintaining and updating travel to camp instructions, speaking with both camp directors and international counselors on a daily basis, checking flight arrangements, collecting compliance documents such as business licenses, monitoring international participants while they are at camp, and collecting camp profile information. This role is very customer service-oriented, so strong communication skills are a must.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate(s) must be hard-working, have strong attention to detail, a friendly and confident phone manner, a positive attitude, an ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time, and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Our team consists of individuals passionate about summer camp and cultural exchange, who care deeply about ensuring our participants have a positive summer experience in the US. We hope to find temporary staff with a similar attitude!
