Primary Duties: Repair flagged looms, perform daily preventive maintenance, (PM) perform Minor Style Changes, and assist weavers as needed.

Tools Required: Tsudakoma Air Jet Weaving Machines, complete set of hand tools, necessary gauges and specialty tools, Company issued lock out/tag out, Power On caution tag, goggles/safety glasses, dust mask, steel toe shoes, utility knife, cut resistant glove, scissors, reed hook, cloth markers, OSHA approved air nozzle for compressed air, ear plugs, tugger with trailer, beam jack, lease rods(sticks), blocks/clamps, hoist, pattern truck, and brooms.

Materials Used: Slashed and unslashed warps, filling yarn packages, machine parts, and lubricants.

Supervision Exercised: None; receives instructions from Supervisor or Weaving Department Manager.

Job Procedures:

1. Follow all established Plant Safety rules.

2. Inspect fabric on your assigned Looms at the beginning of the shift. Record your findings by marking the cloth and the 'Cloth Inspection Form'.

3. Make sure all cam boxes are pumping oil.

4. Repair all flagged looms. Always check quality of the fabric before you leave the loom.

5. Check and sign off on all Warp-Out looms. Always check quality of the fabric before you leave the loom.

6. Perform Minor Style Changes per LP043 Style Change Procedure, as needed.

7. Recover damaged sand rollers, press rollers, and off-loom take-up roller covers.

8. Work on chronic looms as assigned by management.

9. Perform daily maintenance on assigned machines.

10. Repair and clean out damaged/dirty cam boxes.

11. Rebuild brake clutches, filling motions, and other parts as needed.

12. Work on chronic looms as assigned by management.

13. Advise management of parts that need to be ordered to make repairs.

14. Clean lint off main drive and filter motors.

15. Work on special projects as requested by management.

16. Assist weavers with problem looms.

17. Advise management of potential problems affecting the overall performance of the Weave Room-parts needed, problem machines, warp issues, quality, etc.

18. Assist other Technicians, when needed, on breakdowns and style changes.

19. Perform all other duties as directed by management.

Minimum Job Requirements: Must be able to read and write. Must have basic math and computer skills. Must be cleared by Occupational Nurse for vision and color vision.

Competency testing may be required.

Follow all Safety Rules, and comply with the Job Safety & Health Analysis (JSHA). All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be used as required. Any accident or near miss must be reported immediately.
