Key Position Details:
** Position is responsible for supporting Buffalo and Cambridge Hospitals as well as Imaging and Laboratory modalities **

Job Description: Partner with system-wide leaders within hospitals, clinics and business units to provide efficient and effective alignment to medical equipment needs for clinical users, leaders, and related business units Accountable for managing relationships to improve and support processes and policies, solve issues, manage projects, deliver seamless communications, work intake and support clinical users. Responsible for execution of strategic initiatives and adherence to regulatory requirements. Provide equipment planning, acquisition, integration, disposition, and manages a technical team who provide planned and corrective maintenance of current assets.
Principle Responsibilities
- Customer Management.
- Builds relationships with system-wide leaders and key employees.
- Develops a full understanding of business, customer/user strategies, objectives, and related medical equipment technology needs.
- Educates customers on processes while managing expectations.
- Maintains regular communication with site and service line managers for any medical equipment technology needs.
- Represents customer needs to Allina departments (information technology, supply chain).
- Serves as an escalation point for all emergent issues.
- Provides input and support for customer communication, change management, and training needs when implementing new technologies.
- Measures and maintains customer service level.
- People Management.
- Provides regular performance reviews and feedback to direct report employees.
- Coaches and supports staff development & training plans to meet organization requirements.
- Provides clear and timely communication to staff including but not limited to: department goals/strategies, site-specific projects, technology updates, customer feedback, etc.
- Manages staff to department and organizational metrics.
- Hires and retains team members, ensuring improved or maintained employee experience goals.
- Ensures succession plans are in place to address continuity of service for the organization.
- Technology & Project Management.
- Leads the overall strategy for select modalities, facilities or system-wide medical equipment support or projects.
- Identifies and implements innovative opportunities to improve service while reducing costs by modality as a partner with project managers, department leaders, Supply Chain, technician experts, and vendors; consistent with High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles.
- Provides consultative input to the organization for capital acquisitions of specific technologies.
- Ensures data integrity and metric management of technologies and regions.
- Manages and coordinates site-specific and system-wide medical equipment technology projects, including project escalations.
- Incident Management.
- Participates in the development of Service Level Agreements including negotiating changes to SLA's.
- Measures, monitors and communicates service data to customers.
- Participates in major incident communications process.
- Serves as an escalation contact during major incidents.
- Participates in after action analysis to identify improvement plans and key learnings.
- Engages with operational partners to address medical equipment service management related action items.
- Compliance Management.
- Manages goals and metrics, documentation, policies & procedures.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies in surveys, interviews, and supporting documentation.
- Maintains knowledge of requirements, industry standards and emerging trends.
- Supports Risk Management activities including equipment recalls and alerts, patient/employee incidents, and corrective or planned action (CAPA) opportunities.
- Financial Management.
- Prepares budget for region and modalities.
- Communicates financial plan to sites to gain understanding and approval.
- Manages to budget through on-going review of financial performance.
- Develops and monitors contingency plans to correct unfavorable variances.
- Establishes and deliversfinancial savings targets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
- 5+ years experience in Healthcare Technology Management
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate's or Vocational degree in Biomedical engineering technology
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or similar field
- 2+ years leadership experience in Healthcare Technology Management

Pay Range
Pay Range: $47.22 to $65.34 per hour
The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience and education. Additional incentives may be available, including discretionary monetary bonuses, goal-based bonuses, and other financial incentives.
