While campers are taking part in in unique experiences and adventures, our Summer Day Camp Unit Leaders are developing leadership skills and confidence while making lasting friendships and memories. Pay starts at $18.45 per hour, Monday-Friday schedule The Summer Day Camp Unit Leader serves as professional role model by overseeing and monitoring recreational activities in their assigned groups, guiding campers and counselors, and leading through example. YMCA Camp Duncan is now hiring Summer Day Camp Unit Leaders for the following positions:
Day Camp Assistant Program Director Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the Day Camp Assistant Program Director assists in the creation, planning and implementation of recreational activities. The Day Camp Assistant Program Director helps oversee activities to ensure that they are safe, engaging and well-organized and provide campers with experiences that provide support and enrichment, teach life skills and promote wellness of spirit, body and mind. Summer Day Camp, Aquatics Director Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the Aquatics Director coordinates and supervises the day-to-day operation of the waterfront and/or pool programs in day camp. The Aquatics Director maintains high levels of safety standards and enforces strict safety standard rules at aquatic areas. The Aquatics Director must be a certified lifeguard. Summer Day Camp, High Ropes Director Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the High Ropes Director will organize and implement team's course, climbing tower and high rope programs. The High Ropes Director must display ability and skill in belaying, knot tying, and rope course set up. Summer Day Camp, Program Specialist Under the direct supervisor of the Program Director, the Program Specialist will provide support to the day-to-day camp operation. Plans, implements, and assists with daily camp functions and daily activities. Summer Day Camp, Arts and Crafts Director Under the supervision of the Camp Director or Program Director, the Arts and Crafts Director is responsible for the arts and crafts program for day camp. As a Summer Camp Unit Leader, you are responsible to:
