About the role:

As a Deputy Program / Product Manager (DPM),you will support and oversee the successful execution of a high-visibility DoD contract. The DPM will assist the Product Manager (PM) in all aspects of program execution, including contract management, personnel oversight, stakeholder engagement, and technical delivery. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure contract objectives are met on time and within budget.



  • Assist the PM in planning, executing, and managing all aspects of program performance, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and company objectives.
  • Oversee program deliverables, milestones, and budgets, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless contract execution.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for government customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing program staff, ensuring the right talent is assigned to key teams.
  • Support workforce planning, recruiting, and retention efforts to maintain program continuity.
  • Monitor program financials, ensuring adherence to budget constraints and contract funding limits
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess program success and areas for improvement
  • Support proposal efforts, including cost estimates, work breakdown structures (WBS), and contract modifications


What we are looking for:



  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Work directly with government customers to set clear expectations, understand the needs and priorities to define and deliver solutions to enable mission outcomes
  • Monitor operations across several product teams and contracts to organize and mobilize independent programs toward a unified goal
  • Proactively manage risks to projects and client relationships, ensuring a clear and measurable impact on client missions and increasing Raft's reputation in the GovTech domain
  • Monitor and ensure all deliverables across the program are being met-to include MSRs, burn rates, subcontracts, and applicable software deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in briefing senior executives and government officials
  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies

  • Extraordinary PM that is passionate about mission needs, technical aptitude and attention to detail
  • A servant leader who puts the team and client's needs first
  • Outstanding communicator with a high level of integrity and leadership courage
  • A self-starter that can recognize needs and act with little to no guidance
  • Experience solving complex problems for the Air Force or Department of Defense


Clearance Requirements:



  • Active Secret clearance


Work Type:



  • Hybrid - Boston, MA
  • May require up to 15% travel


Salary Range:



  • $110,000 - $160,000
  • The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
