Weston is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Professional to lead and support delivery of industrial hygiene (IH) and safety services. This includes skills in developing and supporting corporate safety program. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert and technical resource with extensive experience in NIOSH, AIHA, OSHA, state, and other legislative bodies, as well as industry standards of practice.

Location: New Jersey/New York area

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Manage complex industrial hygiene programs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly NIOSH requirements and OSHA standards.
  • Conduct safety and IH investigations, audits, and risk assessments, driving continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding safety and industrial hygiene, providing technical support and leadership to other industrial hygienists, safety professionals, and Site Health & Safety Officers.
  • Participate in project management teams to support project health and safety deliverables, including technical review and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and support the preparation and final delivery of Health and Safety Plans (HASP), Site Specific Health and Safety Plans (SSHP), and Accident Prevention Plans (APPs).
  • Develop and deliver Health and Safety training content.
  • Coordinate and provide technical support for medical surveillance and other associated safety program requirements.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in industrial hygiene, biology, environmental/civil/chemical engineering, environmental studies, or a related science degree is preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years of direct safety and health experience in program management and implementation.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, compliance assessments, and on-site audits.
  • Demonstrable fieldwork as a health and safety officer.
  • Can pass medical surveillance, qualified, and competent to wear levels C, and possibly B.
  • Experience in hazardous operations with a clear and in-depth understanding of OSHA regulations and state IH/safety requirements.
  • Must have a CIH or CSP or be actively pursuing one within less than 2 years.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $59,000 - $78,800 - $98,300
