Job Summary:


The Quality Inspection Supervisor reports to the Channel Manager. The Quality Inspection Supervisor oversees the inspection of repair components, parts, and products to ensure they meet established quality standards. This role involves managing inspection processes and leading a team of inspectors.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Oversees the inspection process to ensure timely delivery of quality products.


  • Collaborates with all departments to maintain product flow.


  • Identifies any bottlenecks or delays in the inspection department and makes necessary changes to optimize efficiency and quality.


  • Collaborates with channel manager and production supervisor to ensure the right products are being worked to meet customer and company TAT.


  • Dispositions routers to move bearings to the next step of the repair process.


  • Trains and oversees the work of quality inspectors, providing guidance and support.


  • Maintains/updates quality training records.


  • Sets the work assignments, schedules, and work quality of the inspection department.


  • Works with the quality department to maintain accurate records of calibrated items.


  • Maintains the clean room to quality and regulation standards.


  • Identifies areas for improvement and implements changes as needed.


  • Monitors and reports on inspection performance metrics.


  • Follows all plant safety regulations.





Required Skills and Abilities:




  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Strong attention to details skills.


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.


  • Ability to read/write English.


  • Ability to delegate work to meet scheduled delivery dates.


  • Ability to work independently in a high stress environment.


  • At least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.





Education Requirements:


Must possess a high school diploma or GED and have at least 5 years of manufacturing experience.

Physical Demands:


Periods of long standing and/or sitting, heavy lifting, bending, and eye fatigue.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:


Works in a controlled climate. Small amounts of machine noise. Occasionally works around hazardous chemicals. PPE required.
