Annual Salary: $105,000 - $130,000 Position The Automation & Controls Engineer II is responsible for performing the automation needs related to the development and manufacturing of advanced composites through conceptual design, technology development, procurement, and validation testing by applying research and analytical methods, appropriate testing, and basic engineering or scientific experience to help solve complex technical problems, assist, develop or evaluate new technology, and improve the efficiency of existing equipment in production. Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Science, or similar with a minimum of 4 years' experience or a Master's degree in the Engineering Field with 2 years of relevant experience is preferred. Computer Skills Proficient with basic office applications such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, and Word. Proficient with PLC programming software. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Additional Eligibility Qualifications Journeyman electrical license preferred. Travel Travel between assigned WA sites (Renton and Sumner), adjusted based on business needs. Working Conditions Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment. Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature-controlled. Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. Exposure to hazardous equipment. Exposure to contaminants. Shared workspaces with other employees. Requires handing objects of up to 50 lbs. Lifting pushing, pulling, and bending. Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift and overtime).
