THE POSITION

Selinsgrove Center is hiring Residential Services Workers to be responsible and accountable for designing, developing, implementing, evaluating, and conducting residential programmatic services and activities for assigned individuals in their living areas at the center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Residential Services Worker, you will provide direction, supervision, and training to Residential Services Aides (RSAs) in the delivery of residential training programs/services specified in each individual's Individual Support Plan (ISP). You will perform ongoing review and evaluation of individual needs and progress toward achieving the program goals. Additionally, you will participate in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings by providing input regarding assessments or services provided, assisting in identifying priorities, recommending methodology and integrative approaches, and responding to input of other team members in order to ensure a program of continuous active treatment is established for each individual.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Alternate work schedule as needed.
  • Overtime and travel as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Five years of paid experience performing direct care and habilitative program services for individuals with a developmental disability; or
  • One year of paid experience performing direct care and habilitative program services for individuals with a developmental disability; and a bachelors degree; or
  • A bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences, psychology, social work, education, or nursing; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
