1. Summary of Position:

Under the direction of the Vice President, Human Resources, this position is responsible for managing benefit and compensation programs, as well as for HRIS, on a company-wide basis. The Senior Manager of Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, and HRIS is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and administration of employee compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR systems. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, driving operational efficiency through Cost of Labor reporting, executing merit bonuses & promotions, salary benchmarking, and enhancing employee satisfaction. Proficiency in HRIS platforms and payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP) and strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, FMLA).

2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Administers Compensation Management program (including job classification,

salary structure & performance management activities) on a day-to-day

basis, including:

  • Monitors marketplace to ensure AWPC's pay rates & pay structure in comparison to the marketplace, including conducting periodic market surveys
  • Analyzes AWPC compensation to ensure internal fairness
  • Evaluates positions to establish appropriate pay grades
  • Coordinates annual performance appraisal processes

Oversees timekeeping process to ensure accurate & timely recording of hours & payment.

Ensures compliance with Compensation Management related

regulatory requirements & laws, including but not limited to:

  • Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Equal Pay Act

Stays abreast of Compensation Management trends & best practices, recommending

changes to AWPC's policies & practices.

Administers health & welfare benefit plans, as well as retirement &

other benefit plans on a day-to-day basis, including the following benefit plans:

  1. Medical
  2. Prescription
  3. Dental
  4. Vision care
  5. Life & AD&D
  6. Short-term & long-term disability
  7. 401(k) plan
  8. Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) for medical and childcare
  9. Paid Time Off

Stays abreast of Benefits Management trends & best practices, recommending changes to

AWPC's benefit plans, policies & practices

Ensures compliance with Benefits Management related

regulatory requirements & laws, including but not limited to:

  • ERISA, including Summary Annual Reports (SARs) & Summary Plan

Descriptions (SPDs) preparation & distribution

  • 401(k) plan non-discrimination testing

Ensures for AWPC's HR Information System, including:

  • Data integrity
  • Recommending improvements & enhancements to leverage the system

Manages third-party service providers.

Performs other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.

3. Qualifications for Position:

A. Education

Bachelor's degree in related field (or education/experience equivalency);

Masters Degree or MBA preferred

B. Experience

10+ years of Compensation Management & Benefits Management experience at the

manager level in a mid-sized or large company environment (preferably in a manufacturing environment)

C. Competencies & Attributes

1. In depth & broad knowledge of Compensation Management & Benefit Management

principles & best practices

2. Highly developed interpersonal and internal customer service skills

3. Excellent verbal & written communications

4. Strong analytical skills

5. High level of confidentiality

6. Proven ability to manages service provider relationships

7. Sound knowledge of HR Information Systems, with knowledge of SAP a plus

D. Licensure/Certification

SPHR, PHR or CEBS preferred
