Job Type: Full-time, seasonal with travel and overtime through peak season

Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in heavy equipment

Reports to: Foreman, no supervisory responsibility

Wage: $25-27 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled loader operator to join our team. The primary responsibilities include operating a front-end loader to safely and efficiently load customer trucks, stockpile materials, and maintain roads and stockpile areas in the yard. The operator will also assist with general plant duties as needed, such as cleaning, maintenance, and supporting plant operations to ensure smooth workflow. Candidates should have prior experience operating heavy equipment, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Safely load aggregate materials into customer trucks following established guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate stockpiles and ensure materials are stored properly.
  • Assist with routine plant operations, including cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct pre- and post-operational equipment checks to ensure functionality.
  • Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects.
  • Operate a full range of heavy equipment (i.e. skid steer loader, front-end loader, excavator, crusher, dredge, dozer, backhoe, etc.)
  • Operate and maintain other equipment as needed.
  • Perform inspections and maintenance of equipment such as greasing, checking oil, water, and tires/tracks.
  • Perform physical duties about aggregate work (i.e. shovel, grade, etc.)
  • Follow, enforce, and promote all company safety and quality requirements at all times.
  • Follow the direction of supervisors.
  • Work as a team.
  • Be aware of and familiar with the Company Handbook and abide by the employment policies and regulations.
  • Ensure equipment preventative maintenance is performed timely, thoroughly, and correctly at all times.
  • Teach, coach, and work with the team in a constructive manner.
  • Consistently keep work area clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency.
  • Actively participate in any recommended or mandatory training.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and management.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management, as this job description is non-exhaustive.
  • Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work. (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours).



Position Requirements:



  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test
  • Experience operating a front-end loader or similar heavy equipment.
  • Strong understanding of aggregate materials and yard operations is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and a fast-paced environment

    • Basic mechanical skills
    • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
    • Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
