Job Title: Parts Counter Associate
Reports To: Parts Operations Manager - West Coast
Scope: This position will support the parts department in our Aurora, CO
Salary range: $28-$30 an hour

may vary based on location. Individual pay is determined by additional factors including job related skills, experience,
applicable education or training and other relevant factors.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Parts Counter Associate assists service department in identifying and locating required parts
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper stocking of parts
- Collaborate with the service department to identify parts needed for repairs and maintenance
- Read and interpret parts diagrams and catalogs to ensure accurate identification of parts
- Receive incoming stock or transfer parts, ensure accuracy, packing slip and inventory
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse
- Receives items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers.
- Verifies items received by inspecting the condition of items; comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; noting discrepancies
- Documents items received by recording identifying information
- Replaces damaged items and shortages or obtains credit by informing shipper and transporter of damage or shortage; returning damaged items; requesting new items or credit for shortages
- Receives credit-return materials from production by verifying identifying information and quantity of materials - placing materials in inventory
- Maintains parts and supplies inventory by receiving, inspecting, and verifying items; identifying and storing items; recording location; reordering items
- Maintains parts and supplies database by inputting additions, deletions, and corrections.
- Verifies inventory by conducting physical counts
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment by following standards and procedures - complying with legal regulations
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a parts counter or customer service role, preferably in the truck and trailer industry
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts
- Familiarity with parts catalogs and diagrams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Operation of an industrial powered truck (i.e. forklift)
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems
- Valid driver's license
Physical Demands:
- Ability to move items weighing at least 100 pounds
- The person in this position needs to move constantly for extended periods of time (80-100% of shifts
- Ability to work in and outdoors for extended periods of time
