Are you an advertising sales professional looking to make an impact in the electrical engineering market? An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated Account Manager to drive sales with new and key accounts for advertising and sponsorship sales within the engineering market across North America. Primary responsibilities include prospecting for new business, managing existing account relationships and delivering marketing solutions from across the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers/Wiley portfolio of products to support our customers in achieving their marketing goals.

How you will make an impact:

  • Acquiring new customers, building and managing strong relationships with clients
  • Strong understanding of advertising concepts and digital ad solutions
  • Upsell existing strategic accounts for growth within the North America
  • Develop strong internal relationships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and the delivery of profitable sales growth
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)

What we look for:

We are seeking a skilled, motivated and results-driven Account Manager based in our Hoboken Office to manage and grow our portfolio of advertising & sponsorship solutions in North America.

You will have a strong track record in advertising/sponsorship sales, excellent presentation, communication and relationship building skills, a sound understanding of the electronics & electrical marketer and the tools they use to achieve their objectives.

You will need to demonstrate proven account management experience, ideally within the digital content area. Experience with webinars, virtual events and other content marketing solutions is essential. We are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:

  • 3-5 years' experience in successfully managing key accounts
  • Experience working with VPs, Directors, Product Managers in technical marketing roles
  • A high level of accountability to achieve growth
  • Ability to prospect as well as maintain and build business relationships
  • Skilled negotiator and communicator
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong CRM knowledge and ability to build and manage sales pipeline
  • Time management and an ability to work autonomously.
  • B.A./B.S. Degree in Marketing/Advertising/Business

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the UK, Canada or USA.
