The Real Estate Officer will participate in key real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leases, and dispositions, while implementing project strategies. Due to the fluid and flexible nature of the department, you may be required to perform tangential functions in support of the department, such as department budget review and analysis, review policies and confirm compliance, as well as others. This role requires a candidate to possess strong administration skills, attention to detail, good communication both written and oral, and the aptitude to navigate complex real estate transactions and a difficult decision-making process, within the University of California system. It is important that a qualified person can build consensus among a diverse constituency.

The Real Estate Officer will also engage with internal and external stakeholders, be a representative of UC ANR, and ensure compliance with UC practices, state-laws, and industry best practices. The position is ideal for a professional with a foundation in real estate or similar industry, and a desire to grow their career in a dynamic environment, while working for a leading institution in California and the national agriculture industries.

This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed.

The home department for this position is IMM Office of AVP - Business Operations. While this position normally is based at 1111 Franklin Street, Oakland, CA position is eligible for hybrid flexible work arrangements, for applicants living in the State of California, at this time. Please note that hybrid flexible work arrangements are subject to change by the University.

Pay Scale: $88,900/year to $126,400/year
