Columbia University in the City of New York: Columbia University Irving Medical Center: Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons: Medicine: Medicine - Pulmonary Location 02 Open Date Nov 15, 2023 Salary Range or Pay Grade $200K-$325K Description Assistant Professor of Medicine at CUIMC - Interventional Pulmonary Columbia University, Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care is in search of an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Pulmonary Medicine. The selected candidate will participate in providing the highest level of care to patients with Pulmonary Conditions focusing on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the Interventional Pulmonary section of the Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care (PACC) division. They will also share responsibility with other Interventional Pulmonary and Pulmonary Critical Care attendings for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The Director will determine specific clinical responsibilities and teaching obligations in discussions with you and leadership from the PACC Division and the Department of Medicine. They will be given ample opportunity to participate in clinical and patient-based research. The selected candidate will be involved in providing rapid and timely management of pulmonary patients and dealing promptly with the calls and concerns of referring physicians, from both within and outside the Medical Center. We expect that they will provide and insist on a uniform level of the highest quality clinical care. Full-time outpatient clinical work, in general, would involve 8 half-days of clinical sessions. However, we recognize that responsibilities include outpatient care, inpatient consults and procedures, patient care, teaching, and patient-based research. Structuring the portion of your time that is involved with inpatient versus outpatient patient care will be determined in consultation with the director of interventional pulmonology and PACC leadership. Qualifications Minimum Degree: M.D. or equivalent medical professional degree Minimum Qualifications: Must be Board Certified or Eligible in Pulmonary and/or Critical Care. |
