This includes overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of simulation scenarios, ensuring that the simulations align with educational goals and standards of practice. The coordinator will collaborate with nursing faculty to integrate simulations into the curriculum and support faculty and students in utilizing state-of-the-art simulation technology to enhance learning outcomes. The coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and ordering of laboratory equipment. The coordinator works with the faculty and Course Coordinators to schedule courses and individual student time in the laboratory. Position Qualifications Required: Required Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, with experience in simulation-based education required. Proficient in the use of simulation technology, manikins, audiovisual equipment, and related software. Experience in nursing education or teaching, including the use of clinical simulation, is required. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students. Ability to provide constructive feedback and promote a positive learning environment. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to simulation scenarios. Knowledge of accreditation standards, educational assessment methods, and clinical competency evaluation. Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively. Required Education: Master's degree in nursing, required. Doctorate degree in Education or Nursing Practice preferred. Training / Certification / Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey. CHSE (Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator) CHSE-A (Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator Advanced) required within 3 years of hire. |
