The Warehouse Associate Manufacturing 2 is a high skill role where the employee will be responsible for unloading trucks that arriving at receiving docks, operate mobile equipment, load trucks, delivering to various locations in the plant, maintaining localized warehouses, delivering parts to outside Southwire facilities using company vehicals, restocking , receiving items using packing slips, shipping items using UPS, shipping freight items, setting up couriers for deliveries to plants outside the Carrollton area, communicate using email and phone, order parts from vendors, maintain accurate inventory in SAP with cycle counts, goods receipts, goods issues. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: * High school diploma or equivalent * Must read, write, and speak English; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus * Must have experience using Microsoft Office * Must have knowledge/experience using SAP/Advaris * Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. * Must be able to follow instructions. * Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods of time * Must be certified to operate mobile equipment PRIMARY JOB TASKS: * Must be a Southwire certified lift driver. * Must have a valid Drivers License * Deliver parts from using a company vehicle * Load and unload products, scrap, and miscellaneous items from the warehouse. * Receive and unload incoming trucks with materials, packaging, and miscellaneous items. * Receive product into supply room using SAP. * Log information into SAP. * Maintain housekeeping and orderliness of finished goods and MRO material warehouse. * Identify material by packing slip and reservations. * Responsible of refueling and initiating maintenance on the forklift * Maintain supply of pallets for receiving * Breakdown cardboard boxes, place in compactor, bail cardboard when full. * Restock localized warehouses. * Pull parts as ordered on a reservation. * Identify part in SAP by part number. * Set up new items, add locations in SAP and print labels. * Reprint torn or missing labels. * Restock warehouse daily. * Perform all other duties as assigned. CROSS TRAINING: * Will be required to cross-train on equipment within your identified workgroup at your facility * Once trained in more complex jobs, may be required to fill the position in the event of absence or vacancy * Will be required to rotate on a set frequency within your workgroup to maintain skill proficiency Quality, Safety, Physical Demands
QUALITY: * Identify parts that may be damaged or incorrect. * Perform quality checks, as outlined in the process procedures for the machine, and minor maintenance when necessary. * Immediately report quality issues to the supervisor or quality manager * Use the company's ISO Quality System documentation to help guide all daily quality activities. SAFETY: * Working safely is a condition of employment. * Responsible to observe Southwire safety rules and maintain good housekeeping * Follow all safety procedures and rules * Properly wear all required PPE * Review and know all Job Hazard Analyses for proper job sequence and hazards associated with the jobs assigned to do * Review and know all Safety Data Sheets for the jobs assigned to do * Maintain all work areas to 5S standards * Perform pre-operation safety inspection and hazard analysis * Follow all company environmental rules/procedures and handle all materials in a manner designed to minimize environmental impact. * Follow proper Lock out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures * Follow all mobile equipment and vehicle pedestrian interface (VPI) policies and procedures PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: * Must be able to work in hot and cold environments normally found in a prefabricated building without climate-control. * Physical activity associated with daily performance of this job include: balance, climbing, fingering, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, standing, stooping, walking and sitting.
