General Summary / Overview Statement:
The MGH Center for Health Outcomes and Interdisciplinary Research (CHOIR) aims to advance clinical practice and research by developing and testing cutting-edge mind-body and lifestyle interventions.
CHOIR is seeking a Project Coordinator for the PCORI-funded Healthy Aging as Black Adults: In It Together (HABIT) project, a study of interventions for chronic pain and early cognitive decline among older, community-based Black adults.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for leading and carrying out study activities; recruiting, consenting, enrolling, and retaining participants in the study; performing study assessments and follow-ups; completing data management; updating study records and documents; acting as a study resource for participants; and facilitating community outreach and stakeholder engagement. They will work alongside other CRCs at CHOIR through team research meetings, trainings, and presentations led by staff within CHOIR.
The Project Coordinator will have additional opportunities to gain clinical research experience at MGH CHOIR.
We are seeking a Project Coordinator with excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, writing, and organizational skills. Our ideal candidate has prior experience in community engaged research with minoritized populations. We highly value experience and comfort of working with older adults, informal caregivers, medical populations, and individuals from a variety of different backgrounds. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Implementation of research protocols, including collection of surveys, clinical, cognitive, and digital health assessments.

* Lead recruitment and gather data from older adults, patients, and caregivers (in-person and by phone/Zoom).

* Collaborate with providers in clinical and community settings.

* Support community outreach and stakeholder engagement.

* Manage participant records and maintain updated databases.

* Administer surveys to participants through electronic application (REDCap)

* Conduct literature and library searches

* Ensurecompliancewithfederaland IRB regulations

* Assist with IRB submissions, amendments and continuingreviews

* Assist with preparation of grant applications and manuscripts, including data analyses, literature searches and drafting of publications

* Perform administrative support duties as required.

* Attend individual and team meetings.

Skills / Abilities / Competencies Required:

The candidate should:

* Be well-organized, self-motivated, and attentive to detail;

* Be able to multi-task, problem-solve, function in a fast-paced environment, and manage time/work-load with minimal supervision;

* Have excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with a multidisciplinary team and research participants;

* Have the ability to work independently, take initiative, and interact with clients and colleagues of multiple disciplines;

* Cultural sensitivity and humility in working with older adults and stakeholders in community settings.

* The Project Coordinator should be proficient in using administrative software (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint), webpage development, and electronic data capture systems (EDC).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in psychology, gerontology, neuroscience, or related discipline preferred.Prior health care or research experience preferred.
