The Reporting Coordinator is responsible for sustainability data collection, validation, and reporting, as well as maintaining Westrock's Responsible Sourcing risk assessment and auditing procedures on a strict reporting calendar.
Job Duties:
Manages data collection and validation procedures:
Measurable, validated sustainability data is an important part of Westrock Coffee's value proposition. The Coordinator will build and maintain data collection and validation systems necessary for sustainability reporting across Westrock Coffee's global manufacturing, sourcing, and sales sites. The Coordinator will ensure relevant data banks are updated monthly with accurate information and maintain a detailed paper trail to data sources. The Coordinator will work with the VP of Sustainability and Sustainability Manager to identify priority metrics to track for internal use and external communication and reporting purposes.
Manages annual sustainability reporting:
The Coordinator manages a strict reporting calendar and completes annual, quarterly, and project-based sustainability reports including but not limited to CDP disclosures, customer-specific reports, and additional reports in which Westrock Coffee may choose to participate. The Coordinator also collaborates with other department personnel to complete Westrock Coffee's Sustainability Report. The coordinator is tasked with understanding environmental reporting requirements and being Westrock Coffee's resource for environmental footprint calculations.
Coordinates supplier risk analysis, program validation (where necessary), auditing, and remediation:
Westrock's coffee and tea will be 100% responsibly sourced by EOY 2025. As part of achieving and maintaining this goal, suppliers undergo pre-established compliance risk checks and compliance audit procedures. In support of this effort, this role will complete annual risk analysis of suppliers and coordinate desk-based audits with suppliers and an auditing firm.
Releases monthly Westrock sustainability and ESG landscape updates:
This position is responsible for creating a monthly internal newsletter to update cross-functional teams on our activities in the field, the ESG action and reporting landscape, and influencing factors thereof. If done correctly, the newsletter should 1). Drive a sustainability culture and common language across Westrock teams; and 2). Serve as an educational tool for our customer-facing colleagues.
