The Financial Planner is responsible for preparing financial plans, assisting with client meeting preparation, executing trades, completing and tracking paperwork, and other general support for the Relationship Manager.

Rembert Pendleton Jackson offers a wide range of investment advisory services to individual and institutional investors. Based in Falls Church, Virginia, the firm has been serving individual clients from around the nation's capital and in over 45 states since 1974 and serving non-profit organizations since 1994. Collectively, the principals have over 210 years of experience in providing these services. We operate as SSB Wealth Management Inc., dba Rembert Pendleton Jackson, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sandy Spring Bank.

MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Financial Planning Preparation and Development:

Develop financial plans from start to finish under the supervision of the Relationship Manager. Collect, validate and analyze financial data. Input data into financial planning software and develop initial planning recommendations. Demonstrate a broad base of knowledge across all areas of financial planning, including investments, insurance, tax management, retirement analysis and estate planning. Possess a solid understanding of investment markets and products.

1. Client Contact and Servicing:

Provide ongoing support and maintenance of client relationships, handle day-to-day client requests, and follow up to planning. Help prepare for and participate in client/prospect meetings.

1. 1. Other Support Work:

To include trading securities, assisting with quarterly reports, maintaining the client information database, scheduling client meetings, and other projects as assigned.

• Series 65 license: Must have or earn within a reasonable time of initial hiring
• Desire to obtain CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM (CFP) certification
• Function well in a team environment
• Attention to detail and a high aptitude for learning
• Interest and ability to learn new systems and procedures
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required; problems are technically complex and require the collection, interpretation, and analysis of data from diverse sources
• Commitment to excellent client service
• Personal integrity and ability to discreetly handle confidential data
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite of products
