Position Summary

Provides leadership (coordination, direction, quality assurance, etc.) for work activities performed by supplemental and variable contract resources. This includes providing field oversight and job coordination for supplemental resources while at the facility. The CRC is responsible for clearing barriers and addressing barriers in the workplace for activities performed by supplemental resources. The CRC is responsible for committing to the work plans, executing the plans and schedules. Safety, productivity and quality are all critical responsibilities of the CRC.

Responsibilities
  • Directs, coordinates and reviews the activities of assigned contractors or outside staff to ensure safe, accurate and timely completion of tasks, projects, or duties
  • Coordinates maintenance activities between other departments and outside contractors
  • Promotes and maintains the safety programs, policies associated with the contract management process and conducts job briefing meetings relative to contractors and outside staff. Walks down and verifies Lock Out Tag Outs (LOTOs) before contractor performs work.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships between teams and external customers
  • Works with other members of the station staff to prioritize, schedule and implement activities related to day to day operation and maintenance of facility.
  • Support and follow processes of the Coal Fleet Operating Model with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Performs work in an office environment, required to observe work in all areas of generating facilities which are power plant, industrial environments operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which includes exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and humidity. May be required to climb ladders and stairs at various heights; enter vessels or equipment with limited access; walk, stoop, bend or squat.
  • Reviews and approves invoices associated with contractor work performed.
  • Provides technical direction as required to support the successful implementation by the contractor.
Required/Basic Qualifications
  • Associates degree
  • 5 years related work experience
  • In lieu of Associates degree(s) AND 5 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 9 year(s) related work experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present information, facilitate meetings and provide direction to others.
  • Experience and demonstrated computer skills including the ability to use various applications such as Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint), work management system (Maximo), Plant Information (PI) programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and demonstrated effective leadership skills
  • Financial knowledge and skills including ability to analyze data
  • At least 3 years of experience in contract management
  • At least 5 years contract management experience in a power plant - directing the work of contractors.
  • Experience using Maximo or work management system that goes beyond writing a work order or entering completion comments.
  • Working knowledge of overall operating fundamentals and principles of generating station systems, equipment and processes.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, inspect, calculate, count, retain and make sound decisions.
Working Conditions
  • Onsite Mobility Classification - Work will be performed at a company facility.
  • Performs work in an office environment; required to observe work in all areas of generating facilities which are power plant, industrial environments operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which includes exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and humidity. May be required to climb ladders and stairs at various heights; enter vessels or equipment with limited access; walk, stoop, bend or squat.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, use and reach with hands, arms and fingers. There is potential exposure to high stress situations and requirement to be available for emergency response as required by the needs of service.
Specific Requirements
  • Must also have the ability to be respirator qualified.
