POSITION SUMMARY

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will provide support and mental health services to patient population as requested or initiated by provider/patient. They will maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of all relevant regulations and standards regarding the provision of services and the implementation of treatment. They demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of performance.

Education/Experience

  • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited Graduate School or a degree that supports an alternative acceptable licensure
  • State of Illinois LCSW preferred, LCPC and LMFT are also acceptable
  • Current CPR or within 1 year of employment
  • Two-three years of clinical experience in the mental health field
  • Bilingual preferred


Skills

  • Reports to work on time and as scheduled
  • Microsoft knowledge/Computer proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written skills



Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • The ideal candidate must be able to work and complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Works in an ambulatory clinic environment where there are minimal physical discomforts due to temperature, noise, dust, etc.
  • Exposure to variable adverse working conditions with at-risk patient care activities.
  • Some exposure to communicable diseases with the likelihood of harm if established health precautions are not followed.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Prolonged standing or sitting may be required.
  • Kneeling, stooping, bending, twisting and occasional need to life patients.
  • Medium Lifting, generally lifting not more than 50 lbs. maximum with assistance, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
