Life Safety Systems Tech 60 E Broadway, Bloomington, MN 55425, USA Req #952 Tuesday, January 28, 2025 PURPOSE: Maintain Life Safety System operation, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and administration and assist with Building Management System. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for Life Safety System operation, testing, troubleshooting, along with documentation, and administration. Assist with Building Management System (BMS) operating system. Analyze systems and troubleshoot issues, make recommendations and resolve issues. Support HVAC equipment maintenance as needed. Responsible for being on call to respond to and resolve building systems issues either from home or on site, including working overnights, weekends or varying shifts. Provide support and assistance to team members and other departments as requested; perform other duties as assigned PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Two year vocational/technical certificate in area of HVAC, Building Systems or Electrical Maintenance, preferred. Basic mechanical skills. Basic knowledge of building management systems and life safety systems Low voltage systems service experience, preferred Knowledge and experience with Simplex Fire Alarm System, preferred Experience with Schnider + Andover Building Management Systems, preferred Excellent communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Ability to work independently or part of a team; may need to direct work of other to complete projects. Excellent time management skills and efficient completion of projects PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS; Stand - Frequently Walking - Frequently Sitting - Occasionally Push/Pull - Occasionally Lift/Carry up to 50lbs - Occasionally Comfortable with heights; working on flat roofs, ladders, lifts etc. - Occasionally Kneel and bend. - Frequently Stoop/Squat. - Frequently STARTING PAY: $24.29 - $30.36 Pay is based on many aspects which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, work experience and certifications.
