Visual Designer - Remote

Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as aVisual Designer!

About the role

As a Visual Designer you'll be responsible for supporting our Senior and Lead Visual Designers on the execution of Symetra's expansive brand design system. Our Visual Designer is responsible for production work and creation while developing and supporting design solutions that result in compelling, effective high-end sales and marketing materials.

What you will do

• Design, maintenance, and production of materials for the marketing, sales and brand goals of the entire corporation, specifically three primary business divisions that provide insurance, investment and employee benefit products and services
• Supports various shared service teams, employee resource groups and internal initiatives, including the brand events team, corporate communications and our sports sponsorships

Compensation

Salary Range: $58,300 - $97,200 plus eligibility for bonus program

Your education, skills and experience

• Degree in graphic design or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Meticulous InDesign technical skills, including template creation
• Demonstrated typography and graphic design sensibilities
• Strong color correction and photo retouching experience in Photoshop
• Proficiency with vector art in Illustrator
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PPT
• Impeccable organizational skills for file and asset management
• Sound experience working in digital mediums; web development, UI/UX understanding, ADA guidelines and email design
• Effective interpersonal skills and sound creative judgment
• Self-starter with a high level of attention to detail; works well under pressure
• Solid knowledge of web and digital technologies, standards, tools, best practices and trends
