Overview

Develops and reports key financial metrics including monthly budget variances for the Technical Operations, Safety and Regulatory Compliance and Security groups.



Responsibilities

    Provide analytics during the monthly accounting closing cycle that assist the Corporate Accounting and the Divisional Controller's groups, including identifying expense misclassifications, verifying accounting for Maintenance Events and accrual transaction analyses.
  • Partner with Controller, Finance, and Accounting to ensure appropriate accrual process based on contract terms and proper accounting treatment is applied for all Technical Operations PBH and MCPH type agreements for Atlas and Polar. Assure accruals are based on projected expenses and supported by appropriate contract rates.
  • Ensure internal and external auditing requirements are met each quarter with respect to Technical Operations contracts and appropriate reserves.
  • Oversight of the annual/semi-annual budget process for expense and capital for Technical Operations, Security Division and the Safety Division.
  • Prepare monthly financial performance and forecasting information on major areas of Safety, Technical Operations and Security Division expenses.
  • Oversee the monthly financial performance and forecasting information on major areas of the Safety Division.
  • Manage the Invoice Processing function for Technical Operation, the Security Division & the Safety Division.
  • Prepare Decision Control Papers and supporting analyses for Technical Operations, the Security Division and the Safety Division.
  • Prepare ad hoc Cost Analyses.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Advanced degree or CPA preferred.
  • 10-15 years of experience in project accounting or financial analysis required.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and contract vendors required.
  • Airline experience and preferably aircraft maintenance knowledge desirable.
  • Ability to promote cooperation and coordination between Finance and Operating divisions.
  • Advanced computer skills required including spreadsheet, DBA, and word processing. Experience with accounting software or systems a plus.
  • Valid passport highly preferred.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours with 10% travel.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $174,500

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
