Job Purpose As the Software Engineering Supervisor at Modular Mining Systems Inc., your primary purpose is to ensure that the integrated solution meets the original customers' needs. You will work to abstract the complexity of software development from Operations Research Engineers and Customer Support with limited programming background. Your accountability lies in delivering 'working solutions' to the AS Director, who oversees the overall project delivery. Travel Requirements This role may involve travel up to 25% of the time to collaborate with global teams, attend conferences, or engage in client meetings. Travel requirements are essential for building strong relationships and ensuring project success through effective communication and collaboration. Job Duties and Responsibilities Study business requirements, perform data analysis, and create system solution vision & design Collaborate with Technical Architects and Operations Research Engineers Develop proof of concepts and gather customer feedback Lead Application Developers in designing and implementing technical solutions Develop engines for automating business decisions Stay updated on industry tools and technologies Assist in team recruitment and forming new team structures Required Skills 3+ years of software development management experience 5+ years of software development experience, preferably in Java Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Proven success in delivering technology products Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills Knowledge of software engineering best practices Experience with agile methodologies Continuous learning mindset Komatsu is an Equal Opportunity Workplace and an Affirmative Action Employer.
