Job Summary: Mechanic B is responsible for maintaining machines and tools to enhance efficiency and prevent malfunctions. This role involves performing a complete range of maintenance, repair, and service activities while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Schedule:5pm to 5:30 am / 12 hour Shift rotation

Major Job Duties:

  • Understand and follow industrial safety practices and regulations.
  • Use Root Cause Analysis to investigate operational errors and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coach and motivate associates to resolve safety-related issues.
  • Develop One Point Lessons (OPL) and Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coach others on the operation of machinery and auxiliary equipment.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery, perform diagnostic tests, and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform effective and efficient equipment changeovers.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Handle electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic/hydraulic, and plant systems tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and maintenance shop.
  • Adhere to all SOPs, cGMPs, safety requirements, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Technical Diploma (Preferred)

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional maintenance experience in mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment (Required)
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience (Required)
  • Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

Skills:

  • Strong computer skills, including CMMS knowledge
  • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
  • Advanced mathematical, reading, and writing skills
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with standard tools of the trade
  • Ability to use electrical tools and operate machinery

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, stand, climb, bend, etc.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Exposure to powders, chemicals, and allergens
