We are currently seeking a Southeast Aviation Team Leader to join our Aviation Team located near any of our major Southeastern US office locations including Winter Springs, FL; Miami, FL; or Atlanta, GA.

Every airport, regardless of its size, depends on a unique set of facilities and infrastructure to meet the specific needs of their community, stakeholders and partners. The CHA team excels in delivering specialized airside, landside, and facility-related planning and design. We bring a wealth of experience to our aviation clients so they can continue to be viable assets to the communities they serve.

The Southeast Aviation Team Leader, a key role at CHA, leads the technical execution of projects within their discipline and provides expert consultation in one or more areas of the respective field of engineering. At CHA, our Southeast Aviation Team Leader plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. This key role provides guidance, mentorship, and technical review of work completed by junior level staff. The Southeast Aviation Team Leader provides technical development of proposals and external presentations (i.e., clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.).

Additionally, this individual resolves highly complex technical issues, and continuously monitors the progress and performance on a project to ensure efficient production and uncover potential problems. This key role recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections following standard procedures and recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of design.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
• Professional Engineer License (PE) required
• Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience is required
• Established client relationships
• Civil and aviation design experience required
• Previous experience working in FL is a plus
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
• Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline(s) with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
• Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
• Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering
• Proficiency with MS Office software required
• Active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
• Ability to travel (~30% of the time)

$124,800 - $145,800

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
