YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:



    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

    Provide leadership in technical and design services for renewable DER (distributed energy resources) projects from large-scale commercial to utility-scale. Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary cross-engineering team which includes mechanical, structural, survey, and civil disciplines.

    Oversee designs and drawings, including both steady-state and dynamic power analyses.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY



    • Provide leadership in technical and design services for renewable DER (distributed energy resources) projects from large-scale commercial to utility-scale. Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary cross-engineering team which includes mechanical, structural, survey, and civil disciplines.
    • Oversee designs and drawings, including both steady-state and dynamic power analyses.


    • This person is a technical expert and lead for distributed energy resource (DER) projects connecting at both distribution and transmission for utility scale projects varying in size up to 1000 MW-ac / 2000 MWh-dc. These projects will encompass both solar PV and BESS (battery energy storage systems). Commercial and Industrial (C&I) projects will be both behind the meter and in front of the meter varying in size from 100 kW-ac to 10 MW-ac. The engineer will collaborate with the full team to ensure civil, survey, structural, mechanical, electrical/MV designs and studies are addressed.


    WHAT YOU'LL NEED:



    • 10+ YEARS OF EXPEREINCE IN ELECTRICAL POWERS SYSTEMS
    • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
    • Experience using Autocad and/or Revit software is required.
    • Experience with steady-state and dynamic power analyses (ETAP and potentially OpenDSS, PSCAD, and PSS/E).
    • Willing communicator and able to ask questions when necessary.
    • Enjoys working alone when required but can work effectively on a project team.
    • Able to complete work consistently with flexibility to accommodate varying project demands.
    • Must maintain a high level of precision and accuracy and be methodical in approach to work.
    • High technical ability, interested in technology and staying current in his field.
    • Good ability to communicate and a self-starter.


    WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:



      • Experience with NEC, NESC, and IEEE codes and standards is appreciated.
      • Experience with MV and substation interconnection/protection is welcome.
      • PE Licensure in GA, NC or PA is welcomed
      • NABCEP certification is welcomed
