Job Description

What is the opportunity?

  • ABS banker responsible for supporting US ABS Origination transaction execution and assisting senior ABS bankers with client coverage across Non-Traditional ABS asset classes
  • Critical execution and ideas-generating role to drive continued growth of Non-Traditional ABS origination across new and existing clients and asset classes

What will you do?

  • Support ABS bankers in creating, developing and presenting business ideas across Non-Traditional asset classes, taking lead in planning and drafting initial versions of client presentations and pitch book materials and incorporating comments from senior ABS bankers
  • Lead transaction execution by coordinating third parties (issuers, lawyers, rating agencies, accountants, trustees, etc.), review offering and transaction documents, overseeing preparation of sales memos and internal approval documents, amongst other responsibilities
  • Interact with internal and external parties to ensure seamless execution on mandated transactions and oversee the ultimate settlement of Non-Traditional ABS transactions
  • Collaborate closely with senior ABS bankers and other internal parties on M&A and other strategic transactions where ABS is expected to play a role
  • Advise junior staff on maintenance of internal databases of market data, including spreads/yields, deal pricing details, trading data, league tables, etc.
  • Proactively identify operational risks / control deficiencies in the business
  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
  • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis

What do you need to succeed?

Basic Qualifications

  • College graduate with history of strong academic performance
  • Series 7, 63 and 79 (will be required within a reasonable time after joining if not currently held)

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Experience developing pitch books for ABS issuers
  • 4-6+ years' work experience executing securitization transactions (CMBS, non-QM, flow or non-traditional asset classes)

The good-faith expected salary for the above position is $225,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
