Position Title: RESIDENT DISTRICT MANAGER - New York City

Salary: $140000 - $160000

Other Forms of Compensation: 30% Annual bonus

Job Summary

Compass Group - Eurest is seeking an experienced senior level Food & Beverage executive to join our team. As Resident District Manager, you will lead a high volume, multi-million dollar dynamic corporate dining account (cafe, catering, executive dining, coffee shop operations). Absolutely imperative to the success of this account, our RDM works effectively with this global client and leads a team of 100+ professionals, on site. Our Resident District Manager will provide planning and direction within this account to achieve operational and financial goals in an extremely busy, high employee population environment. You will also maintain exceptionally strong client relationships and work to fulfill our mission. Please note - this is an on site role based in Manhattan (Mon thru Fri)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads, manages, and encourages a complementary team at a large account, with the goal of providing top-notch service to the client and employee community
  • Drives and develops self and team towards building strong relationships with the client; achieves key performance indicators (profitability, safety, employee engagement, etc.)
  • May serve on the district leadership team and participates in ongoing conversations with peers to share best practices, mitigate risks, champion diversity, and build community
  • Ensures decisions are weighed for risk/reward and short/long term implications while gathering input from team members and partners
  • Cultivates a culture of transparency, understanding, education, safety, and accountability at the account
  • Serves as the representative/brand ambassador within the district and community; attends key client and community events
  • Ensures the needs of the clients are met or exceeded; retains the account, explores cross-sell opportunities, and assists in the rebid process as directed
  • Supports functional areas of operation, including but not limited to safety, marketing, nutrition, and culinary
  • Ensures adherence to local, state, federal, and company policies, and conducts unit audits to ensure conformance for key areas (e.g. food storage, sanitation)
  • Maintains compliance regulations and guidance for all applicable meal and retail programs, along with completing all required reporting on time
  • Champions development within the account; conducts performance evaluations, along with succession planning, has full understanding of all roles within the operation
  • Owns the financial results for the account, and works with leadership to ensure accuracy for reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes
  • Ensures consistent and fair administration of al policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of senior site-level food & beverage leadership experience (within corporate dining or other relevant industry to include full service hotel F&B operations, high volume & fine dining restaurant operations)
  • Highly proficient in all aspects of food service management with a proven track record of success
  • Exemplary record of leading a high performing operation & team; you have a guest/client centric mentality coupled with business and financial acumen
  • Demonstrates strong initiative, critical thinking, ownership, communications (listening, written, and verbal), multi-tasking, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Champions the inclusive approach, you're proactive, positive, professional, and resilient
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and POS software
  • Occasional travel required in this position
