Duties & responsibilities * Coordination of STEM Learning Communities * Oversee the implementation and operation of STEM Learning Communities that align with grant goals and institutional strategies to improve student engagement, retention, and academic success. * Facilitate outreach and recruitment efforts as part of the coordination process, including visits to high schools and community colleges, informational sessions, and collaboration with local organizations. * Develop partnerships with key STEM academic units to integrate STEM Learning Community frameworks into undergraduate student engagement and retention initiatives. * Collaborate with university departments to arrange course schedules, secure meeting spaces, and set up linked course sections for STEM Learning Communities. * Support Assistant Director of Curriculum Design & Development to coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, and training of Peer Mentors, ensuring alignment with program goals and culturally responsive practices. * Maintain accurate student enrollment records, track participant progress, and ensure compliance with academic and grant-related goals. * Lead the development of marketing materials and website updates to promote STEM Learning Communities. * Data Collection & Grant Support * Develop and maintain processes for tracking program participation, outcomes, qualitative feedback and student success metrics in coordination with the grant requirements. * Assist in preparing detailed grant reports, progress updates, and evaluation summaries for institutional and funding agency review. * Coordinate program evaluation efforts, including the development and dissemination of surveys and feedback tools for participants and stakeholders. * Support the grant team in preparing conference presentation proposals, grant applications, and other submissions that showcase program outcomes and foster sustainability. * Assist in the preparation of materials for funding agency reviews and site visits, ensuring compliance with grant reporting standards. * Assist leadership team in identifying opportunities to improve programming using data-driven insights. * Administrative Support and Maintenance * Manage program operations, including supply orders, resource allocation, and coordination with the Student Success District Building Management Board. * Provide logistical support for recruitment events, workshops, and training sessions, ensuring smooth execution of all activities. * Support the creation and dissemination of marketing materials to promote program awareness across campus and the community. * Maintain centralized records of program operations, including recruitment activities, course schedules, and participation data. * Prepare and deliver presentations on STEM Learning Communities and recruitment outcomes to leadership, academic departments, and community partners. * Support the Assistant Director of Inclusive Program Design and Development in ensuring compliance with grant requirements, including accurate and timely reporting. * Serve as the primary point of contact for program inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses to internal and external stakeholders. * Facilitate scheduling and logistics for events, meetings, and training sessions associated with STEM Learning Communities. * Additional duties may be assigned. |
