Purpose of the Role
The Manager, Completions/Commissioning plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and successful start-up and operation of facilities. This position is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities associated with project completion, including construction supervision, field administration, procurement, and field engineering. By implementing best practices in completions and commissioning, the role contributes to the safe and sustainable transformation of energy, chemicals, and resources projects, aligning with Worley's ambition to be a leader in sustainability solutions.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and oversee all start-up and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with Worley's policies and procedures while delivering safe and operable facilities.
  • Provide expert guidance on the development and implementation of commissioning and completions strategies to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Review and recommend design modifications to improve facility operability, safety, and sustainability.
  • Direct and manage on-site teams, including construction supervisors, field administrators, and field engineers, to achieve seamless project execution.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and environmental best practices in all commissioning and start-up processes.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize commissioning workflows and field execution strategies.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including customers, project teams, and leadership, to align project deliverables with business objectives.
  • Influence and drive policy and procedural enhancements to strengthen operational excellence and risk management.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues related to completions and commissioning.
  • Foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and innovation, supporting Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable change.

Qualifications / Skillset



  • University degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent trade qualification combined with extensive industry experience.
  • Significant experience in commissioning, completions, and facility start-up within the energy, chemicals, or resources sector.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities with the ability to develop and implement execution plans in alignment with company policies and strategic objectives.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and direct teams either directly or through supervisors.
  • Advanced understanding of systems, processes, and tools related to field commissioning and operations.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and drive positive change within project environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present proposals and reports to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with broader project goals and company priorities.
  • Commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement, ensuring that all projects contribute to Worley's ambition of delivering sustainable transformation.
