• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or MT ASCP certification, or a Bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry or equivalent in order to meet the minimum New York State Department of Education requirements.
• NYSDOH license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or NYSDOH Restricted License in Histocompatibility Testing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Expertise in dealing with scientific principles involved in the methodology performed, as well as alternative methodologies and their application to a given situation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, hospital-based, and laboratory-based software systems.
• Four years as a Clinical Immunogenetics Technologist II or five years of experience in other high-complexity clinical or research testing.
• Must be available to report to work within one hour of STAT testing requests.

• American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT).
• American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) Certified Histocompatibility Specialist (CHS).
• Five years of experience in Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics testing.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $114,775.74 - $138,697.18 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
