The Transplant Financial Coordinator serves as a vital member of the transplant team, responsible for managing the financial aspects of patient care throughout the transplant process. This role involves verifying insurance coverage, securing financial authorization for transplant- related services, and acting as a liaison between patients, insurance companies , clinical teams, and third-party payers. The coordinator meets with patients to ensure they understand their financial responsibilities and assists them in accessing available financial resources to support their care.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High School. Graduate or equivalent Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: Two years' experience in financial counseling insurance reimbursement and ESRD regulations; Prior transplant experience preferable Licensure: None required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requirements: None required. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
