Salary: $29.07 - $39.42

The Critical Environments Operating Engineer will be required to perform a number of preventive maintenance and reactive activities as well as support the account Critical Environments Program for the region. The primary focus of this position is to provide shift coverage and on-call plant operational support for all facilities systems, including, electrical, HVAC, and building controls. This person will have the responsibility of providing written reports/logs and maintain reliable and efficient operation of the facilities equipment that support Data Centers and other Critical Facilities in the Region.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Task will include but not be limited to:

Analyze the operation of various critical systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
Maintain a full Critical Environments Maintenance Program. This will include self-performance of a number of preventive maintenance tasks on base building and critical system equipment as well as the scheduling and coordination of vendor performed procedures.
Write and Implement Critical Environment Policies and Procedures
Develop Standard and Emergency Operating Procedures for all critical assets and systems
Oversee Change Management Program. Ensure all high risk task are properly entered into Change Management System and have been approved prior to work taking place.
Tracking electrical/mechanical loads
Maintaining & scheduling Preventative Maintenance on Critical Equipment
Develop rounds and inspection program on Critical Systems
Facilitate projects and act as a liaison with Project Managers conducting work in Critical Environments
Coordinate and manage all vendor scheduled tasks and communicate task schedules to all parties concerned.
Track all incident reports and communicate to business units
Must interface with Facilities Operations and business unit managers as appropriate to coordinate Critical Area Program. This will include but not be limited to; scheduling maintenance windows in Change Management, participating in staff meetings, interfacing with key vendors and project management personnel, and keeping up with written communications within the Critical Environment Team.
Develop and administer critical site processes such as; operation flow charting, reporting root cause analysis of system failures; emergency response drills as related to life safety or critical system failures, compliance with site audits, critical parts inventories, preventive maintenance program and status reporting to management.
Work with the Senior FM and Regional Critical Operations Manager to ensure budget adherence for each facility
Qualifications
Education - Should have electrical, mechanical, or controls trade related background with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office. Strong electrical/mechanical background is required.
Experience - Minimum (10) ten years of experience in electrician trade (including emergency backup systems - UPS, Generators) or related field or minimum (10) ten years of experience in HVAC/Refrigeration trade or related trade. Minimum of (4) four years of experience working in Data Centers or other Critical Environments.
Software Skills - Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio programs.
Personal Characteristics - Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both verbal and written reports. Must be both reliable, able to meet critical deadlines and meticulous in report data. An excellent organizational skill is essential.
