GENERAL SUMMARY

The Engineering Administrator is responsible for the administration and technical support of the Engineering department including technical writing documentation, document control, coordinating and directing a variety of administrative activities.

This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK's hybrid work schedule.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Technical Writing

  • Responsible for the administration and maintenance of Engineering Technical documentation including the logging and releasing of documents; specifications for products, Engineering Standards, Compliance documents, CRN's and other technical writing documents.
  • Support Sales and Marketing documentation through technical writing and website updates.
  • Responsible for a series of ISO procedures related to Engineering document control.


Engineering Administrative Support

  • Facilitate and lead Engineering initiatives approved or assigned by supervisor.
  • Lead the administration and support of multiple managers and staff of Product Engineering, Technical Services, and Cambridge. Also work collaboratively with all DeZURIK facilities and provide support as needed.
  • Lead/Facilitate/Team members of BPI (Business Process Improvement) activities, and plan/organize/facilitate Engineering team events, quarterly meetings, Traction L10 meetings, training events and various projects.
  • Manage/facilitate third party agency projects for fire and water certifications (UL, FM, NSF, WQA, etc). Work collaboratively with Engineers in driving projects to completion. Administrative support in the compliance of DeZURIK products, site audits, cost/invoices management, cost control/budget management, change management and other pertinent documents.
  • Support, document control and maintenance of documents for the Engineering team; CRN administration, Patents, compliance documents, Engineering, Industry Standards, intranet documentation, and other pertinent documents.
  • Assist in the Engineering hiring process: screen resumes, set up interviews & travel arrangements, and take part in the interview process as requested.
  • Document and maintain technical training programs including recording training attendance/certificates with HR, maintaining a Skills Matrix, assist in developing training videos, etc.
  • Continually improve and maintain on-boarding handbook for new hires. Manage Engineering Onboarding documents and schedule new hires for the Sartell and Cambridge locations. Guide and assist other DeZURIK locations with onboarding documents as needed.Create task-oriented job instructions and departmental procedures as they present themselves.

  • Responsible for the administration and support of company forms. Work collaboratively with Quality personnel in meeting and maintaining business needs.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's degree in business-related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience as an administrative assistant.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITLIES

  • High level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exercise good judgment and initiative.
  • Self-directed, proactive approach by striving for improvement.
  • Possess a high level of PC software knowledge in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe.
  • Excellent organizational skills.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, extensive use of a personal computer and telephone.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

DeZURIK offers a competitive hourly rate in the $24.14 to $30.17 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
