Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer for the Autonomous Maritime Platforms Business, you'll be a leader and a member of a highly skilled cross functional team responsible for the development, implementation, and testing of underwater sensor systems. We are looking for a subject matter expert in acoustics and SONAR applications to work across a variety of innovative projects and pioneer the latest cutting-edge technology. Our goal is to deliver new capability to real-world applications for our customers.

  • Substantial experience with Passive and Active SONAR performance modeling techniques, analysis, and applications
  • Significant contributions to design of next-generation hardware and software implementations for passive and active SONAR systems
  • Strong background in the maritime domain, platform integration, and Systems engineer process, concepts, and principles
  • Technical leadership and management of major SONAR systems/sub-systems and their implementation
  • Experience working or leading Research & Development (R&D) initiatives

Target salary range: USD $206,000.00/Yr. - USD $223,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
