Description

Responsible for all parts department operations, including personnel, inventory management,
administrative duties and customer service. Work directly with various departments to
ensure a high level of customer support while minimizing costs. Perform all aspects of tasks associated with inside sales of products to meet the customer needs. Responsible for ensuring
compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.

Primary Job Responsibilities:



  • Resolve all customer related issues that may arise
  • Ensure proper inventory management to support customer service
  • Control all department expenses in relation to budget
  • Supervise all parts department employees
  • Manage overall daily operations of parts department
  • Review weekly stock orders
  • Maintain good working relations with vendors and vendor representatives
  • Maintain current open counter documents report
  • Negotiate pricing with vendors and/or customers
  • Make provisions for employee training as available from manufacturer or within company
  • Review open purchase order report to maintain accuracy
  • Prepare monthly forecasts as required
  • May interview and hire new employees
  • Resolve issues from various reports
  • Promote good welfare among the company and its' divisions
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Must have 6 years previous experience
  • Must have 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Mechanical background or knowledge
  • High school diploma or equivalent


Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)



  • Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company
  • Must conform to policies and procedures set forth by the company
  • Must have a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance company standards
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in a Windows environment (MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to bend and twist several times a day
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours and days
  • Must be dependable and work independent
  • Must promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment
  • Must have the ability to travel and stay overnight
  • Must have the ability to supervise, motivate and effectively evaluate others
  • Must have the ability to effectively develop and manage a business plan


Working Conditions:



  • Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8m. to 5 p.m.
  • Weekend hours as necessary
  • Inside and outside work as required
